EV chargepoint grants for homeowners in Essex and Newham:
The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) is a government grant that provides a 75% contribution to the cost of one electric vehicle chargepoint and its installation, with a maximum grant value of £350 including VAT per installation.
From April 2022, the EVHS closed to owners of single-unit residential properties such as bungalows and detached, semi-detached or terraced housing.
The scheme is however still open to homeowners who live in flats, and tenants of rental accommodation, including flats and single-use properties.

EV chargepoint grants for business owners in Essex and Newham:
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle chargepoints.
The grant covers up to 75% of the total costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle chargepoints (inclusive of VAT), capped at a maximum of £350 per socket, and 40 sockets across all sites per applicant.
