When a customer in Hornchurch called saying they’d detected a burning smell coming from their boiler cupboard which then led to their heating system tripping the electrical supply, we were quick to respond.
Upon inspection, we found serious damage behind the wall which could soon have turned into a very dangerous situation.
We got to work straight away to make the damaged electrical cables safe by cutting them back where possible, or replacing them where necessary. Once that was done, we reconnected the power and tested everything to ensure it was working correctly and safely.
Finally, we repaired the wall and filled all the joints to make good, leaving it ready for the customer to paint.
